HZS- BKTBB high voltage indoor (outdoor) frame type reactive power compensation capacitor cabinet is mainly used in power system of power frequency 10kV (6kV) for the purpose of carrying out the capacitive reactive power compensation as well as the inductive reactive power compensation . It is used for adjusting and balancing of the voltage in the power grid, improving of the power factor, reducing of the line loss, improving of the power quality, and giving full play to the production efficiency of the power generation equipment and the power supply equipment.

HZS- BKTBB high voltage indoor frame type reactive power compensation capacitor cabinet is intended for outdoors uses and it includes the following main parts: the isolation grounding switch, the high voltage shunt capacitor, the empty cored reactor, the fuse specific for the capacitor, the discharge device (the special discharge coil or voltage transformer), the gap free oxide thunder arrester, the live display device, the relay protection device, the connecting wires, the post insulator, the frame and so on.

I: The structural feature

1: The equipment can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It uses the frame structure and can perform fixed switching on and switching off operations.

2: The equipment can be installed directly in the substation to perform the the switching on and switching off operations for the reactive power compensation capacitor cabinet.

3: The composition of a complete indoor frame type reactive power compensation capacitor cabinet: It is composed of the series electric reactors, the incoming wire holder and the capacitor rack; the empty cored electric reactor is generally mounted by stacking the three phases or arranging the three phases flatwise. The incoming wire holder includes the high voltage isolating switch, the discharge coil and the thunder arrester. The capacitor racks are generally arranged with two banks per row, total two rows; and for those capacitor racks with a large capacity, they can be arranged with two banks per low, total two rows. The incoming wire frame shall be installed in parallel with the capacitor frame, and their heights and depths shall be the same. The capacitor frame door can be either a fence door or a steel door in which an observation window is provided. The electric reactors shall be surrounded with a fence.

4: The outdoor frame type: The equipment is equipped with GW4-12D high voltage isolating switch incoming wire, and the switch is installed on the platform. After the isolating switch are the electric reactors, which are generally mounted by stacking the three phases. In case of a large capacity, they can be installed for separately for each phase, and the corresponding capacitors are also mounted for separate phases. When the capacity of a single capacitor is 50~500kvar, the capacitor frame shall be arranged in the form of three banks per row, one row or two rows in total, with the lightning arrester and the discharge coil being installed on the frame; for the capacitors of 200kvar and above, they are generally arranged in the form of one bank per row, one row in total for each phase, with the lightning arrester and the discharge coil being installed on the top of the frame; The whole cabinet shall be with a fence which is not below 2 meters in height. Among the doors in the fence, at least one trap door shall be provided so as to facilitate performing of the patrol inspections and maintenance.

5:All of 35kv reactive power compensation capacitor cabinets are outdoor frame type. The capacitors and the electric reactors are all arranged for separate phases. The capacitor frame is supported by the 35kv high voltage insulators and insulated to the ground. The capacitors are arranged in the form of two banks per row, one row in total. The lightning arrester is installed near the electric reactors, and the discharge coil is installed at the neutral point of the frame. The 35kV power supply is connected to the upper end of the GW4-35D isolating switch, and the switch is installed on the platform. The whole cabinet shall be with a fence which is not below 2 meters in height. Among the doors in the fence, at least one trap door shall be provided so as to facilitate performing of the patrol inspections and maintenance.

II: Performance characteristics

1. The device shall be allowed to carry out long-term operation at a voltage which is 1.1 times as high as the rated voltage.

2. The device shall be allowed to carry out continuous operation at a steady state overcurrent 1.3 times as large as the rated current, which has been caused by the overvoltage and the high order harmonics.

3. The device shall be able to limit the instantaneous current, which is generated at the time when the capacitor is being put in into operation, to be less than 20 times the rated current of the capacitor bank.

4. Depending on the distribution system, for the purposes of suppressing the harmonics and the instantaneous current, the electric reactors with different reactance rate can be selected.

5. The high-voltage power capacitor with advanced technology and full-film medium has the following characteristics: the reliability is high, the service life is long, the loss is small, the operation temperature rise is low and so on; in addition, it is also has the characteristics that its discharge starting voltage is high and its sealing performance is good and so on.

6. The equipment has the perfect capacitor protection function. The short-circuit protection adopts the high-voltage spray type fuse for a single capacitor; and according to the connection mode, the capacitor bank is provided with the relay protections such as the open triangular unbalanced voltage protection, the neutral point unbalanced current protection and the like.

7. The difference between the total value of the actually measured capacities of all the capacitors and the total value of the rated capacity of each capacitor shall not exceed + 10%--0, and the deviations in the capacitance of the phases shall not exceed 5%.

Conditions of use

I. Working environment and conditions

a. The outdoor ambient temperature: -35℃ ~ +45℃

b. The relative humidity in the ambient air: It shall be between 20% and 90% at 40℃.

c.The atmospheric pressure: The altitude shall be 2000 meters and below.

II. The requirements for the surrounding environmental

a. Strong vibrations and shocks shall not be allowed;

b. No corrosive and destructive gases, conductive media, media which contain any explosive dangerous shall be allowed, and serious mold shall not be allowed.  

Main technical parameters

1: The compensation effect: The power factor can reach 0.95 after the compensation has been carried out.

1:2The high-voltage power capacitor with advanced technology and full-film medium has the following characteristics: the reliability is high, the service life is long, the loss is small, the operation temperature rise is low and so on; in addition, it is also has the characteristics that its discharge starting voltage is high and its sealing performance is good and so on.

3:The structure of the device is reasonable, with a good dynamic and thermal stability. The live display device is used to display the switching state of the device. It is equipped with the electromagnetic lock, the cabinet door switch and an observation window. It has the forced locking function.

4:The device shall be allowed to carry out long-term operation at a voltage which is 1.1 times as high as the rated voltage.

5:The device can operate continuously under the condition that the root mean square value does not exceed 1.3 times the rated current of the capacitor bank.

6:According to the needs of the system and the user, the device can adopt local control or main control room, centralized control, or automatic control and the like.

7:The difference between the total value of the actually measured capacities of all the capacitors and the total value of the rated capacity of each capacitor shall not exceed + 10%--0, and the deviations in the capacitance of the phases shall not exceed 5%.

a) The compensation capacities and the number of the compensation passages stated in the above shall be subjected to modifications depending on the customer needs.

b) For the capacity, only 10008kvar is listed in the above table. The excessive compensation capacities and the excessive number of the compensation passages can be customized according to the customer needs

c) The above list of 10kv system and 35kv system shall be subject to further notice.
