For most of the enterprises', their electricity bills have the column of "Fee of adjusted electricity", which many people don't know what it means! It has been regarded as the amount of electricity which has been consumed and the money has been spent for nothing! Not everyone of them know the fact that this is an index related to assessing the reactive power compensation and the power factor. It is possible to avoid this completely! These people have no idea. They feel helpless. These people's neglect and contempt has contributed to this kind of waste and a power supply with low quality.
The fee of adjusted electricity refers to the fact that the power supply company calculates the average power factor of a customer according to the active power and the reactive power it has used for a period of time (such as one month or one year), and the relevant electricity fee will be charged accordingly. That is to say, in the case that the reactive power compensation of a customers of the power supply company is large for a period of time and the power factor is low, the national criterion for assessing the power factor of the users has not been met, and this will result in additional costs, which are added to the electricity bill. Based on the quality of the current domestic power supply and the electricity utilization environment, more than 85% of the enterprises have been involved in the issue of "Fee of adjusted electricity" due to their own problems !
There are many reasons for the "Fee of adjusted electricity", which can be roughly divided into the following categories:
① The reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet is not available: There is not the reactive power compensation (the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet) in the power system; this has resulted in too low a power factor and consequently the "Fee of adjusted electricity".
② The reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet has performed too much compensation: Some enterprises have had the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet. However they have been charged with the penalties from time to time. The reasons lay in the following aspects: At the beginning of the design, the distribution system does not take into account the actual production situation, so the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet which has been equipped has a too large capacity and the controller of the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet has a too low accuracy. These have resulted in the phenomenon that the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet has performed too much compensation.
③ The technical faults with the reactive power capacitor compensation cabinet: The issue of "Fee of adjusted electricity" with vast majority of the enterprises has come from here! The main reasons are that have adopted a switching mode which is not correct, the classification coefficient for the capacitors is too rough as well as the issues related to the voltage and current harmonics, the compensation sensitivity and so on; all of these will lead to the penalties they have been charged, due to the lack of the reactive power compensation, a low power factor and fine. The issue of "Fee of adjusted electricity" is not terrible itself. What is terrible is that these enterprises do not pay attention to this! To improve the power factor and optimize the power quality is the responsibility of an enterprise; it is also the mission of our DELITER!
